Publication of out-of-pocket expenses

From 1 February 2011, all certificates created in the REC Registry must be accompanied by a calculation of the out-of-pocket expenses associated with the purchase, installation, and grid-connection of the small generation unit ((SGU) small-scale solar panel, wind or hydro system). This is regardless of the installation date of the system.

In accordance with Regulation 19G of Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001, the Regulator must publish details of the out-of pocket expenses incurred for SGUs that were validly created during the previous quarter. The Regulator must publish the out-of-pocket expense for each calendar quarter within 28 days after the end of the quarter to which they relate.
