Application for registration in the REC Registry - person or organisation
A person or organisation must be registered with the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator (ORER) in order to create small-scale technology certificates (STCs) and large-scale generation certificates (LGCs).
In order to become a Registered Person, it is preferred that you use the online Registration Wizard.
You cannot use the STC Clearing House unless you use the online Registration Wizard.
You must have an active account on the REC Registry before the registration can be completed. An account for the REC Registry can be created at www.rec-registry.gov.au
However, if you need to register manually (for example, if registering as an accredited Power Station), please use the following process:
- Create an account in the REC Registry.
- When creating a REC Registry Account for a business, the Account Name should match the entity name or a registered trading name of that business, as listed on the Australian Business Register.
- Complete the application form above.
- Send your completed and signed Application for Registration form to ORER, GPO Box 621, Canberra ACT 2601, or, by fax to 02 6159 7780.
- The ORER will notify you when your Application for Registration has been approved.
- After your application has been approved, a $20 fee is payable to complete the registration process. Please DO NOT send any payment to the ORER with this application form - payment of REC Registry fees is made via your account in the REC Registry. The application fee is GST exempt.
